Our marketplace team is responsible for building a community for members selling on marketplaces to connect with others
Ensuring the right partners, right content and right services are available to help members grow and expand their businesses.
We continually improve our programmes to add value beyond the GTIN, EAN, UPC, barcode and work with marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and Alibaba to increase adoption of the GS1 standards. We are always learning, always listening and always available to talk to our members.
Head of marketplaces
With 7 year’s experience in e-commerce businesses like play.com and Rakuten, I joined GS1 UK in 2013 and currently leading the marketplace strategy in the UK. My team support all the members joining GS1 UK to trade on marketplaces like Amazon, ebay and Alibaba. We provide members with the support and confidence to grow their local business and expand across borders. Our team also works with marketplaces to improve the seller and customer experience by improving the quality of product data.

I joined GS1 UK in 2016 and my role at is to increase value to our members and help drive the strategy by engaging with the stakeholders that sit within the marketplace landscape and look at ways we can tackle their pain points to facilitate more friction free trading.
My background is in retail having worked for global retailers Mothercare and Early Learning Centre, Boohoo.com and most recently Dune London. I ran the marketplace operation enabling me to empathise with the members needs.
Outside of work I am a keen photographer, traveler and have just started to learn to snowboard.

I joined GS1 UK in 2018 having spent over 15 years working in online businesses.
Prior to joining GS1 UK, I spent over 10 years at Amazon.co.uk, building relationships with all the major brands in Consumer Electronics and over 5 years as a Head of Business Development for Tesco in the Marketplace team. Being part of the Tesco Marketplace team, I am able to appreciate the importance of good data for sellers and customers; to maximise sales and minimise returns from customers.
My Role at GS1 UK is to represent the needs of marketplaces, their seller and partner communities by understanding their requirements, identifying opportunities for growth in standards adoption.
